2021 Mini Trials

NEW Mini Trial Series Championships Sept 25 - 26, 2021

Pre-event Updates and Reminders:

  • Don't forget to print 2 numbers for your pinny and a smaller one for a bridle number. Here's the Link for Printable Numbers

  • Ride Times and Stall assignments

  • Dressage warm up is in the lower sand ring, you will be sent up to the final warm up 5 minutes before your test. Please be prepared to enter the ring as soon as the rider does their final salute and do ONE lap around the inside of the ring, tell the judge your number and exit an wait for the signal to start. Ring 1 is closest to the pond and will use a bell and ring 2 is next to the drive and will use the truck horn. DO NOT GO DOWN THE DRIVE IF THERE IS A TEST GOING ON IN RING 2!

  • Show Jumping will be run in reverse order of placing followed by an awards presentation.

  • There will be NO FOOD VENDOR on Sunday but there will be one on Saturday.

How to qualify:

  1. Place 1st - 4th at one Mini Trials with a score of 45 or better

  2. Complete on other Mini Trials at a different venue with a score of 45 or better. This requirement has been waived for 2021.

Competition Format:

  • Intro, Very Green and Starter will run on Saturday

  • Beginner Novice, Novice, and Training will run on Sunday

  • No schooling the day before

  • Order of phases: Dressage, Cross country, and finish with Show Jumping in reverse order of placing

  • Awards ceremony will follow with a victory gallop.

Entry Reminders:

Entries will NOT be processed until the entry is complete. Any entry that is not complete by the end of the 'early bird' period will NOT be eligible for the discount. Any entry that is NOT complete by closing date will be assessed a $25 late fee. The following is required for your entry to be considered complete:

  • On line Entry and Payment via Blue Horse Entries (minors must have their own account on Blue Horse otherwise we get the parents DOB and e-mail does not transfer over to the file we use for doing group reminders)

  • A 2021 Stone Gate Farm Release form on file (once submitted it is good for the season)

  • A current coggins uploaded to the Stone Gate Farm file (only needs to be submitted once unless it has expired)

  • Completed USEA Release form and E-mailed to the secretary. Must do a new one for each event.

Stabling is limited and fills up fast. When full, stalls will be assigned at either Hillcrest (6 miles away) or Pure Gold Stables (8.3 miles away)

  • Stalls are assigned on a 'first come' basis of processed entries. If your entry is NOT complete it is NOT processed which means you are NOT put on the stabling list.

  • If stabling with a group please use ONE name for the entire groups please.

Refunds:

  • entries and stabling before closing date in full less $25 office fee

  • After Closing Date ONLY if can be filled from waiting list

  • Off grounds stabling none

July 3rd Updates:

  • Entries close on July 6th.

  • on grounds stabling is full. Off grounds stabling is available 6 - 8.5 miles away

  • Check your Entry Status HERE. and check to be sure you entered the correct division, If you do not see your name on the entry status, it is because your entry is NOT complete and will not be processed until it is complete

Show Jumping Rounds & ‘Fix a Round’

The Show Jumping Schooling Round / ‘Fix a Round’ Saturdays before the Mini Trials Riders will have the choice of the following:

  • Schooling jumping round(s) where the rider will jump the course.

  • “Fix a Round” where riders will jump a schooling round then have additional time to work out the kinks with with either your instructor (for a total of 15 minutes) before jumping a second round.

On-line entries ONLY

Post Entries may be available as space allows

Tentative Schedule:

  • Beginner Novice

    • 10:00 – 11:30 ‘Fix a Round’

    • 11:30 – 12:00 Schooling Rounds

  • Starter / Very Green

    • 12:15 – 2:00 ‘Fix a Round’

    • 2:00 – 2:30 Schooling Rounds

  • Intro

    • 2:45 – 3:45 ‘Fix a Round’

    • 3:45 – 4:00 Schooling Rounds

Fees:

  • $10 / round

  • $25 for the ‘Fix a Round’

NOTES FOR SUBMITTING AN ENTRY:

  • There are time slots for schooling rounds and ‘fix a round’, be sure you sign up for the correct option

  • Pick a time and click Sign Up.

  • If you are doing the ‘fix a round’ please indicate in the comment section the name of your trainer or if you would like to ride with Kyle

  • Click the Submit & Sign Up button at the bottom of the page – when you see the prompt for showing an alternate name; list the rider’s name if it is someone other than the person filling out the form

  • You may go back anytime to edit or delete your entry

  • If for some reason you need to cancel, please DELETE your registration so that spot can be made available to someone else

  • NO ONLINE ENTRIES AFTER 6:00 PM Fri

You will receive a confirmation e-mail 2 days before the competition, please check it as your time may have changed.

NOTES FOR THE DAY OF THE SCHOOLING ROUNDS

Plan to arrive early enough to be warmed up and ready to jump your round at the scheduled time

Stabling Reminders:

  • The stabling fee has been changed to $50 which is good Friday – Sunday

  • No shavings bags in garbage cans. Thee may be put behind the Porta Jons, at the south end of the east barn or in the dome

  • Bedding is NOT provided

  • Stalls must be stripped, no manure, bedding or hay . If they are, stall deposit check will be destroyed or you may pay $10 for the stall cleaning service.

Release Forms: Click on the link below for the NEW on-line release form with electronic signature. The on-line release form will be valid for the entire calendar year. USEA Release forms need to be submitted for EACH competition. If a competitor is under 18 and won’t have a parent attending the event; please send signed release form(s) with the competitor.
