2018 Steeplechase 8K and 2k Fun Run

Welcome to the inaugural Stone Gate Farm 8 K Steeplechase and 2K fun Run. Runners will be treated to scenic countryside views as they traverse the farm’s 165 rolling acres of hayfields, pasture, wooded trails and numerous ponds. Please note that some of the hills are rather challenging.  The 8K Steeplechase will run the same course that the horses will run later in the day for the Hunter Pace.  There will be up to 40 obstacles which include logs, banks, ditches, water and more.  For those who do not want to tackle the obstacles, there will be an option of running the 8k trail course without obstacles.  For those who want a shorter more relaxing course, the 2 K (untimed) Walk/Run is for you.

The 8K Steeplechase Runners will be led by a horse and rider.  Participants are invited to stay and watch the horses and riders who will run the course in the afternoon.

• Race Day Schedule

  • 8:00 on site registration & packet pickup (must be picked up by 8:45)
