We are graciously seeking company and/or individual financial sponsorship to help defray the costs of developing and maintaining a quality venue at Stone Gate Farm for equestrian pursuits. Whether it be for competing, participating in clinics or volunteering we simply want people to enjoy time with family, friends and horses at the farm.   We are excited to unveil the many NEW improvements to the facility which include a new ‘all weather’ arena with a viewing shelter, a ‘photo booth’, improved Derby field, a new location for day parking with a new water well.  For the first time in over 30 years everyone and everything will be in one convenient location including the new Mountain Trail Challenge Course which will be opening in early June.

Allow me to share a little background on Stone Gate Farm.  The 80-acre farm has been home to Dave & Jackie Smith and their family since 1986. Since that time, it has grown to 171 acres of beautiful rolling hills, farmland and woods located in Hanoverton, OH.  The farm is dedicated to the sport of “Eventing”, (aka ‘Equine Triathlon’) and prides itself in aiding in the development of horses and riders through education and competition.  What started as one competition a year has grown to 12 and many clinics have been added along the way.  The officials and clinicians hail from all over the United States and England.  All these activities attract numerous competitors, spectators and volunteers from Ohio and the surrounding states.  With the addition of the Mountain Trail Challenge course and the NEW 8k Steeplechase and 2k Fun Runs, we will be sharing our farm with riders who have never been to SGF before and those who may have no interest in horses at all, but who enjoy the outdoors and the pursuit of their passion.
